Modern ideas for an old challenge

We are dedicated to advancing the modern treatment of valvular heart disease by innovating next-generation heart valve replacements that comprehensively meet the physiological demands of the cardiovascular system. This technology is projected to reduce the burden of a range of valvular heart diseases, ranging from the paediatric to adult populations.

Our platform is inspired by native valve geometries, manipulated through the lens of modern polymer chemistry and manufacturing strategies. This mission is enabled by the partnership of an interdisciplinary team of experts, incorporating cardiothoracic surgery, bioengineering, polymer chemistry and computational modelling. As a result, we have developed a range of prototypes that are currently undergoing testing, and are actively researching ways to improve these models and to extend their utility to a wider population.
